TK Ranch

Chicken Breasts

Our succulent pork is back in stock
including Baby Back Ribs!

They will thaw in a sink of cool water overnight — so for our Edmonton customers, receiving one October 10 is not an issue.

Our inventory is continually being updated, so please check back often! We have added the following this week:

If you have already placed an order and want to add to it, you can either:

  • Place another order and we will combine them when we fill the orders for that week, or;
  • If what you would like to add is less than our minimum order ($50), please contact us and we will update your order and send you a confirmation email.

If there is something you would like that is "out of stock" on the website, please put a note in the comments section of your order (include the item name and number you would like). If we receive the item before we fill your order, we will happily add it for you. 🙂

The season is changing again — and these last few frosty mornings have reminded us that winter is just around the corner. Our horse Tango is shown above posing in the morning sun with frosted whiskers. Three weeks ago we were surprised to find a female Snowy Owl (at right) hunting gophers on the ranch — these ground squirrels are fatter than heck and definitely good eating for her. Hopefully this is not an omen of too early a winter!

Our sheep are also getting their winter wool on (seen below in the sunset). They are enjoying the late season grass and like to graze well into the evening before we lock them up for the night. While they live with three guardian dogs, the local coyote population still tries to enjoy some lamb once in a while. They are rarely successful though because our dogs are very protective and and do a good job keeping our flock safe.

UPDATE: Both our abattoir (at right) and processing facilities are well underway! The buildings are up and insulated, the sub-floor plumbing is in and concrete is next. Busy is an understatement! Wish us luck — we are hoping to be open early in 2016.
