Experience the breathtaking beauty of TK Ranch by following my husband Dylan's photos on Instagram. He updates the site almost daily so you can keep in touch with what is happening here. We hope to develop calendars and sell framed prints in the future — so please stay tuned.
Our hens and roosters were very happy to have the run of our yard again — before the aerial predators are all back! If we let our chickens have free run all of the time we would lose many of them to owls and falcons — and the odd fox that sneaks into our yard. To keep them safe we have built two large outdoor pens that keep them safe from all types of wildlife looking for a take out meal :). The rooster on the right is an Americauna which is a rare heritage breed — he is part of the reason that the eggs we collect are green. We have about 100 heritage laying hens and roosters with more coming very soon!
I have been living almost full-time on our land near Calgary where we are building our new processing facilities. We are just finishing the trim and installing the equipment and hope to be making our first batch of new sausages within two weeks. Once we are open, our recipes will change and become very high quality! We hope to offer many different types so please stay tuned! The barn on this property has a lot of potential — we hope to someday have a farmer's style market. But that is another story…

“The care of the Earth is our most ancient and most worthy, and after all our most pleasing responsibility. To cherish what remains of it and to foster its renewal is our only hope.”
