Merchandise Availability: Keeping all of our inventory items in stock can sometimes be challenging as a small business. Very popular items like chicken breasts, bacon and ground beef only make up a portion of the cuts harvested from an animal. Occasionally these or other items are out of stock because we need to sell the rest of the cuts we harvested before we can process more. How does this affect your order? This means that there can sometimes be a lag time of a few weeks from when you first placed your order to when it is actually filled. During this lag time there is a slight possibility that we have sold out of a few items that you ordered. This is why we do not charge your credit card until after we have actually packaged and boxed your order in our facility prior to delivery. As such, if we are out of stock on an item you will not be charged for it, you will receive an updated invoice with your new order total when we charge your card. This usually happens a few days before delivery.
Demand for our ethically raised products is growing very quickly. This is a good news story, but there are some important considerations to understand. We do not support the factory farming model — where there is a constant supply of animals being harvested. Our focus is on animal welfare and environmental sustainability — and ensuring we do not compromise our program protocols just to meet growing market demand is very important to us. This means that occasionally we just don’t have animals ready for processing. Growing our animals slowly and ethically is our primary goal — and good things come to those who wait. Thanks for your understanding.
Cancellations: Once you place your order, it is placed into a file for the date you specified. If you decide to cancel your order this is allowable without penalty as long as it is cancelled before the order cut-off date. If you cancel your order after the cut-off date, we will not charge a re-stocking fee ONLY if we have not yet packaged your order. However, if we have already packaged your order, you will be charged a 15% re-stocking fee to pay for our time and resources (boxes, merchant fees, etc). If we have already charged your credit card, you will be refunded the charged amount less the re-stocking fees. TK Ranch reserves the right to decide who is charged a fee and this will be determined on a case by case basis.
